If any of you guys are in need of a roofer in this area I cannot recommend Wescon Construction enough. From the estimate to the guys busting their humps in the late June early July Florida heat, all the way to the ease with which all the necessary steps were handled. They left my yard and driveway looking better than before they started and the price was definitely right. 2 days from start to finish and I have a big roof. Two thumbs up from me.

Wescon Construction was without any doubt, the best choice for my new roof. Great team, excellent communication, and the best result. Awesome experience!

Wescon Construction is a family-run roofing company that has been replacing roofs for Space Coast homeowners since 1996. We're a licensed roofing contractor and general contractor (CCC1330785, CGC1506914). Our own crews do the work rather than subcontractors, and most of our Rockledge work is residential roofing. If you're comparing roofers in Rockledge, FL, start where every good decision starts: with an inspection, and ours is completely free.

The Three Questions That Decide Roof Replacement in Rockledge

Metal tile roofing has become the fastest-growing roofing choice on the Space Coast and for good reason. It combines the striking curb appeal of a barrel or flat tile roof with the durability and energy performance of metal, all at a price point between asphalt shingles and concrete tile. For Florida's climate, it is one of the most capable roof systems available.

How old is the roof, really?

A repair on a roof near the end of its life buys you months, not years, and it's money you'll spend again when the replacement comes anyway. A repair on a roof with a decade left is usually the smart play. Age is also exactly what insurers weigh: across Florida, carriers have gotten aggressive about roof age, and in a city with housing stock this old, some Rockledge homeowners hit that wall before the roof ever leaks. If that's the question you're actually facing, start with our guide to insurance and 20-year-old roofs.

How far has the damage spread?

Isolated damage repairs well: failed flashing (the bent metal sealing the joints where a roof meets a wall or chimney), a run of wind-lifted shingles, one leaking valley. Widespread damage flips the math: granule loss across whole slopes (granules are the sandpaper-like surface layer that protects shingles from the sun), multiple leaks, or sagging decking. Hurricane damage deserves its own warning: wind damage that looks isolated from the driveway is often widespread up close, which is why we inspect and document before quoting storm work of any kind. The details of what's fixable are in our full repair process.

What does the roof warranty say?

On newer westside roofs, the manufacturer warranty can turn a scary problem into a covered one, so we check status before you spend anything. On older roofs, what usually matters is the insurance file, and sometimes what a homeowner needs isn't roof work at all: it's a roof certification, a signed letter documenting the roof's condition and how many years of life it has left, which insurers and home buyers ask for. We handle roof inspections in Rockledge, and when replacement really is the answer, our replacement cost guide for Florida shows how the numbers break down before anyone's standing in your driveway.

Free Roof Inspections from a Licensed Roofing Contractor in Rockledge, FL

Every decision above starts the same way: someone qualified actually looking at the roof. Our Rockledge inspections are free, cover both sides of town, and come with no obligation attached. We check the age indicators, the spread of any damage, the flashing and fasteners, and the paperwork angles, then tell you which of the three answers you're looking at: repair, replace, or leave it alone. Plenty of inspections end with that third answer, and it's free too.

Repair or Replace by Material: Shingle, Tile and Metal in Rockledge

Shingle Roof Repair and Replacement in Rockledge

Shingle is the most common roof in the city, and it's the most repairable when damage is caught early: lifted tabs, isolated leaks, and flashing failures are routine fixes. The catch on older shingle roofs is matching, because sun-faded shingles rarely match new ones exactly, and we'll tell you honestly when a repair will be visible from the street. When replacement wins, modern shingle systems we install are wind-rated for this coastline and go down over a sealed roof deck, a waterproof layer bonded to the wood so wind-driven rain has a second barrier even if shingles come loose.

Tile Roofing in Rockledge FL

Plenty of established Rockledge homes carry concrete or clay tile, and individual tile repairs are routine when matching tiles can be sourced. Two things push tile toward replacement: heat cycling, the daily expansion and contraction that cracks aging tile over the decades, and underlayment failure, when the waterproof layer beneath the tile wears out even though the tile above it still looks fine. That second one surprises people, because the roof fails from underneath while appearing healthy from the street. Our tile repair and replacement options cover both paths.

Metal Roofing in Rockledge FL

Rockledge is a mainland city, so Galvalume steel (steel wrapped in a protective aluminum-zinc coating) is the standard metal recommendation here, and metal repairs tend to be small and specific: fasteners backing out, flashing wear, sealant at penetrations. The exception is the riverfront. Homes along the Indian River live with brackish salt air, which works on a roof's fasteners and flashing long before it touches the panels, so hardware choices matter more there. For replacements, the metal roofs we install typically outlast shingle by decades, which changes the repair-versus-replace math on a home you plan to keep.

What Rockledge Homeowners Ask Before Deciding

How do I know if my roof needs repair or replacement?

Three questions decide it: the roof's real age and remaining life, how far the damage has spread, and what your warranty or insurance paperwork says. Isolated damage on a roof with years left points to repair; widespread damage or a roof insurers won't carry much longer points to replacement. A free inspection answers all three.

How do I choose a roofing contractor in Rockledge, FL?

Check the license first: a State Certified Roofing Contractor number (ours is CCC1330785) can be verified in seconds on the Florida DBPR website. Then look for proof of insurance, local work you can actually drive past, and whether the company inspects before it quotes. We've worked under the same two state licenses since 1996, and our own crews do the work rather than subcontractors.

Can you repair just one section of my roof?

Yes, when the damage is genuinely isolated and matching materials can be sourced. We'll also tell you honestly when a patch on a sun-faded roof will be visible, so the choice is yours with eyes open.

What is a roof certification, and do you do them in Rockledge?

A roof certification is a signed letter from a licensed professional documenting your roof's condition and expected remaining life. Insurers and home buyers ask for them, especially on older homes. In Rockledge, we coordinate the certification for you: our free inspection gathers the documentation, we hand a complete file to the licensed professional who issues the letter, and the process moves faster because nothing gets missed.

Is hurricane damage usually a repair or a replacement?

It depends entirely on spread, and that's not something to judge from the ground. Wind damage often looks minor from the driveway and turns out to be widespread on the roof, so after a storm we inspect and document everything first, which also gives you a clear record whatever you decide to do next.

Do the historic riverfront homes need special roofing care?

Older structures deserve a closer look before any decision: the framing, the weight it can carry, and materials that fit the home's character all get checked house by house. That's part of why we inspect before we quote, every time.

Do you replace roofs in the newer Rockledge neighborhoods too?

Yes. Residential roofing across the whole city is most of what we do here, and on newer homes the first step is checking whether a manufacturer warranty turns your problem into a covered one.
